Patience will be the key to overall victory in any MMORPG gaming title, but most certainly for Evony (the new free browser offering from developers UMGE) you need to hang tight and wait until your city and domain is built up nicely with troops, high walls and tonnes of archers.
If you can be patient and ensure your whole army in Evony is well backed, you'll have a much greater chance of climbing the evony rankings and alliance rankings much, much quicker.
Too often, newbs in evony (noobs!) will come in and as soon as they get past the 7 day grace period for beginners, they will unleash and try and take the nearest town. (Some are lucky and their alliance comes to the rescue, but most times it ends in disaster!)
So folks, await your time. Build up your defences and overall army then pick your target smartly. It also pays to get some good advice from your clan or alliance friends.
